Channel selection

Usually, when running a slash command, you can get options listed to you like this:

But with message commands, this isn't possible. So instead, we select the most relevant result based on the similarity between the channel's name and handle to your search query, as well as how many subscribers it has.

But what if the channel is wrong?

This is a very important problem with message commands. Sometimes, the ranking is wrong, causing the wrong channel to be selected.

This is why we add a "Wrong channel?" button to these messages. When clicked, they show a modal allowing you to select which channel is correct, just like in slash commands.

What if the channel I'm looking for doesn't show up in the results?

You should probably try another query, or use its channel ID instead.

Although, if it's a popular channel that should definitely be showing up in the results, and it does show on YouTube, please make sure to contact us on Discord.
